Spring in Engelberg!

After three weeks of rain and snow in the village, summer finally came and made a grand entry. We are in the middle of constructing our new reception, but got some time on Sunday and Monday to do a hike. We had a set goal with this hike – to find Niklas’ ski that he lost three months earlier during a photo shoot with Oskar Enander. Not realizing he is 19 anymore, Niklas launched a cliff and tumbled some 40 meters down through the trees. We searched for more than two hours in the snow, but with no luck.

Of course, the ski was exactly were we thought it was three months ago, but easier to find without chest deep powder. With a ski on the backpack, we continued up to the snow, saw marmots and mountain goats who seemed newly woken. The grand finale was a huge ice cream on the restaurant at Untertrübsee.
