How to get here & transfer
If you put your finger in the middle of a map of Switzerland, you are most likely pointing at Engelberg. The unbeatable location means that it is quick and easy for you to reach the village.
Airport
The closest and biggest airport is Zürich (ZRH), which is an hour by car and 2.20 by train. All major airlines and several regional ones fly to this airport. Other airports in close proximity are Bern, Basel and Milano.
Airport pick-up
If you wish we are happy to pick you up at the gate with our Powder Express Bus. 1-3 persons is 250 Francs and 4-8 persons is 280 Francs. (ZRH) If you are a bigger group, we can arrange that as well.
Train
From Zürich you catch the train from under the terminal, change trains in Luzern and you will arrive 20 metres from our door step after a picturesque train ascent. The train leaves XX.47 every hour during daytime, check exact time here.
Car
All major car rental companies can be found a Zürich airport and is easy to find your way to Engelberg. The cheapest rental car can often be found at AutoEurope.
Helicopter
If you are in a hurry to get here, and want get some nice views while your at it, helicopter is a great option. Our helipad is located 200 metres from the Lodge, and you’ll be here in 20 minutes from Zurich airport. Contact us and we will arrange it for you. (Up to 5 passengers)
By car
If you choose to come here by car from Zurich, you should first drive past Luzern, then towards Gotthard, then take the exit in Stans, about 12 kilometres from Engelberg. From there, the windling road up the mountains begins, with breathtaking views of the surrounding nature and mountains. We recommend keeping your camera ready.
