SAFETY ABC / FREERIDE MONDAY
Spend the whole day with a mountain guide from Engelberg. You will spend the first half of the day training at the Avalanche Training Center, learning how to carry out a search with an avalanche transceiver, probe and shovel. In the afternoon, it’s time to hit the powder, with further onsite training.
SKI-TOURING TUESDAY
Leisurely ski tour in the Engelberg Area. The experienced mountain guide will introduce you to the ski touring secrets with handling of skis, skins, and binding. The route and route planning then depends on the current situation and conditions – and is therefor determined that day in the group.
To participate you’re level should be: Normal fitness/endurance and ski skills to ski a black slope.
The Safety days Camp Includes
- 1 night accommodation in a shared room
- 2 days of skiing with a certified Mountain Guide
- 1 evening with our delicious 3-course Skier’s Dinner
- Breakfast buffet with all your favourites
Hardware you need:
- Ski pass
- Goggles, helmet, ski clothes.
- Complete ski-touring or free-riding equipment (skis and poles or snowboard and poles)
- Transceiver
- Probe
- Shovel
- Backpack (Airbag Backpack recommended)
- Skins for skis or Snowboard
Need help to rent gear? No problem! Everything is available for rent at the mountain guide office or at local sport stores. We will help you out!
