To contain the spreading of the virus Switzerland decided to put in “2g” and “3g”, a few rules when travelling and staying in Switzerland and how to minimize the spreading of the virus when in Switzerland.

What does 3G mean?

Vaccinated, Recovered or Tested. (Geimpft, Genesen, Getestet)

What does 2G mean?

Vaccinated or Recovered.

Is everything closed in Switzerland?

No, everything is open! There are restricted areas where you are only allowed to enter if you wear a mask and have a valid vaccination or recovered certification. (Hotels are open to 3G guests, so vaccinated or recovered or tested)

Can I travel to Switzerland?
Vaccinated or Recovered persons from COVID-19 will no longer be required to present a negative PCR or rapid antigen test before entering Switzerland.

Persons who are not vaccinated or who have not recovered from COVID-19 will
still have to take the tests to enter the country.

Do I need to quarantine?

No.

What do I need to do to travel to Engelberg?

Is it complicated to travel to Switzerland via Airplane?

No, as of the 22nd of January it’s a piece of cake, just like normal, but you do need to fill in this form.

If you are not vaccinated you take a PCR or RAT test within the limit of time before travel is requested and fill out this form.

When you are here without a valid vaccination or recovered certification you are required to do a RAT test if you want to sit inside and eat or drink.

Are there any requirements to wear a mask?

Yes, masks must be worn in any public indoor spaces, for example, shops and in enclosed areas of public vehicles. (masks can be taken off when consuming and sitting down at a table inside whilst the 2G rule apply)

Am I allowed to eat at a Restaurant, Bar or Terrace?

Yes! At Ski Lodge Engelberg we have 2G in the Bar, Restaurant and Breakfast. And you need to wear a mask when standing up.

Hotel guests who are not vaccinated/Recovered can order from the bar menu and eat in the reception or get room service Take Away!

In indoor areas with 3G, you are only allowed to enter with a valid covid-19 certificate of vaccination or a negative RAT or PCR. And you need to wear a mask when standing up.

Can I stay in a room and eat Breakfast at Ski Lodge Engelberg?

Yes, In the Hotel Reception and Rooms we have 3G. In our Breakfast, the 2G rule Apply.

Is there a test centre in Engelberg?

Ja, 2 hubs.

From 13th of December. Engelberg will have two test centres.

2 hubs will be available and you would need to book online or via app on wwww.onedoc.ch
1st Hub at Titlis Berghahn from 8 am to 12 pm, 2nd Hub at the Gemeinde House in the village, next to the Monastery from 2 pm to 8 pm
