Reported: 23rd of February – 1st of March
Last week it was snow, snow and more snow, and once again we’re reminded that mountain weather has a personality of its own. This week? Proper spring vibes. At the beginning of the week we hit 14°C down in the village, giving us soft slopes, sunny terrace sessions and the first signs of a proper goggle tan:) Curious how the skiing has been, what’s popping in the village and what next week might have in store? Keep on scroling to read the full report.

After a huge snowfall, a warm spell isn’t exactly what you order. But here we are, and honestly, there are upsides too. At the tail end of the last storm we saw rain all the way up to around 2000 m.a.s.l., which left a pretty solid crust once it refroze. Up high though, where the warmer temps didn’t reach, you can still find cold snow if you know where to look.
The good news? The warmer weather is helping the snow soften up nicely. The pistes have been absolutely beautiful, and when the sun is shining like this it’s hard not to smile. Buff stays in the backpack, After Ski moves outside to our terrace, and yes, the first signs of a proper goggle tan are incoming. Sunscreen, friends. You’ll thank us later!

Spring in Engelberg <3
Spring in Engelberg is seriously underrated. The slopes are quieter, the days are longer, our terrace is open and the beers are cold. The high-season rush is fading and it’s time to slow down and really enjoy the mountains.

The Engelberg Scandinavian Game
Maybe you’ve been wondering how the Scandinavian Hockey Game went? Team Engelberg came out flying and set the tone early, but in the final seconds, the Scandinavians turned it around and snatched the win. What a finish! The trophy was carried home in style and is now proudly back where it “belongs” at Ski Lodge Engelberg, the unofficial (or maybe very official) Scandi hub. Huge thanks to everyone on the ice and in the stands for making it such an incredible night. Can’t wait to do it all again next year! Check out the game vibes here!
