Snow Report Engelberg – 5th of April – Did Engelberg just deliver the perfect week?

5.04.2026

Reported: 30st of March – 5th of April

We started the week with the second wave of the storm that has been delivering some pretty sweet pow days across the Alps. And this one was a proper storm, strong winds, heavy snowfall, and parts of the mountain staying closed as the snow piled up. When the weather finally cleared on Thursday, we woke up to a mountain that had been completely reshaped by drifting snow. A refill we’ve been waiting for all season… and now we’re getting close to 300 cm of snow depth. Not bad for the beginning of April! – “Did Engelberg just deliver the perfect week?” – read the full report to see why!

Not only did the mountain got a proper refill, the village did too. Once again, Engelberg turned white, and our garden transformed into a little maze of freshly shoveled paths leading down to the sauna.

Sunny skies, beautiful snow… what more could we ask for?

Did Engelberg just deliver the perfect week?

So this week we got to enjoy some pretty special storm skiing, where our tracks were filled in again after every run. We also had one of those big bluebird powder days where it feels like every skier in the village shows up at the valley station at 8, a full half hour before lifts open. That’s Engelberg dedication right there.

Party on the mountain and in our garden!

As the week went on, warmer winds and the strong April sun shifted things into full spring mode. Goggle tans are in, buffs and extra layers are out… and this time, it actually feels like spring is here for real! To finish the week off, the annual 80s Day took over the mountain. A day filled with fun stops, music, party laps, ridiculously narrow skis, and some truly amazing outfits.

The celebrations moved around the mountain before ending up in our Garden, and wow, we’re still smiling thinking about how many lovely people gathered around our house. We haven’t seen our Garden and Bar this full in a long time, and it was such a fun evening to share together.

Thanks to everyone who came by and brought the energy – and a big thanks to DJ Tingeling for keeping the dance floor going!
