Titlis is hopeful that the ski slopes on the glacier will be open by this Saturday, December 2nd. We’ll meet you in the bar for aprés.

Getting to Ski Lodge Engelberg

Now we know that we’ve enticed you to start making your ski trip plans to Engelberg. Wondering how to get here? Here’s the rundown.

Traveling by Train:

The rumors are true…the trains in Switzerland run like clockwork. Trust us, it’s the ultimate combo of convenience and picturesque views. Here’s how you can make your way to Ski Lodge Engelberg by train.

From Zurich Airport, you have a couple of train route options. We highly recommend using the SBB app to plan your trip and buy your tickets. One route takes you through Zurich Hauptbahnhof (fancy word for “main train station”), and the other goes straight to Luzern (Lucerne).

If you go the Zurich HB way, look out for trains headed towards Luzern and jump on board. It will be about an hour of pure scenic bliss.

At Luzern, switch trains and get on the one bound for Engelberg. This part of the journey takes around 45 minutes, and believe us, you won’t be able to take your eyes off those awe-inspiring mountain vistas!

As you arrive at Engelberg Station, Ski Lodge Engelberg is right there, giving you that warm fuzzy feeling of being right where you belong.

Driving Yourself:

For all you independent souls out there who love the open road, driving to Ski Lodge Engelberg is simple. From Zurich, keep your eyes peeled for signs leading you to Luzern. It’ll be about an hour’s drive of stunning scenery.

New snow

The large quantity of fresh snow and the sometimes large wind slabs are prone to triggering. Even single winter sport participants can release avalanches. The avalanche danger will increase but remain within the current danger level. More frequent natural avalanches are to be expected. Avalanches can reach large size. Backcountry touring and other off-piste activities call for experience in the assessment of avalanche danger and caution. The Avalanche Warning Service currently has only a small amount of information that has been collected in the field, so that the avalanche danger should be investigated especially thoroughly in the relevant locality.
