Last Week in the Lodge
What a week it’s been! We kicked things off with a fun backyard event – 50 runners at the start line, all smiles, and a winner crowned before the sun set. Meanwhile, Brasserie Konrad unveiled its new autumn menu, full of seasonal delights that are already winning hearts (and stomachs). And of course, Lars Räbsamen came by to capture the magic of the autumn vibe – his photos are proof that Engelberg is at its autumnal best. Busy, beautiful, and buzzing – just the way we like it.

The first snow fell this weekend, a delicate reminder from the mountains that winter is around the corner. And yet, autumn in Engelberg is a season of its own: golden larches, crisp mornings, and the quiet hush before the ski lifts start humming again (hopefully this weekend?) we stull have no info… but this:

Hiking and trail running in this early snow is almost magical. The trails are yours to explore alone, footsteps the only soundtrack, punctuated by the occasional cowbell. Soon, skis and snowboards will be flying out of storage, but for now, the mountains invite a slower, more contemplative pace.
And after the adventure? A steaming coffee and a Swedish fika at our place. Life, after all, is best measured not only in altitude but also in cups of coffee and slices of cinnamon bun.
