Report: November 18th – November 23rd
Pow pow pow!!
What a week! The first proper powder dump of the season hit us – and the village finally turned white, big time. The storm rolling in on Thursday and Friday dropped a solid 27 cm in the village and gave us some serious Christmas feelings here at Ski Lodge Engelberg.
On Friday we brought out the rock-skis and enjoyed some surprisingly good first Brunni turns, while trying not to bring too much Brunni grass back down with us. Saturday delivered bluebird skies and a whole lot of big smiles. We can report that Steinberg, Laub and Galtiberg have all been skied – and even the Titlis Round Tour made an early-season appearance. Powder Alert: Engelberg Is Getting Lit
There’s more snow on the horizon – winter is here, and it looks like it’s sticking around. A big storm is heading our way, and if we’re lucky, Klein Titlis could get up to 135 cm in the coming week. Down in the village we’ll see slightly milder temperatures, but according to the snow forecast we could still be looking at another 30 cm right here in town.
A snowfall like this is guaranteed to bring out a whole lot of smiles, so if you haven’t made your way to Engelberg yet, maybe it’s time to book a mid-week trip. We have a feeling Thursday might be the day…

With this much snow on the way, it’s a good moment to slow down and think about safety. Avalanche danger will be high, so give the avalanche bulletin a look before heading out. If you’re deciding to ski off piste, make sure your beacon, shovel and probe are in your pack – and that you actually know how to use them. Stick with people you trust, keep the communication open, and make choices with a calm head rather than chasing the hype. The powder will still be there and we are sure there will be more coming;)

With the snow finally in the village, the cross-country skiing tracks are open! Two loops are ready to go: the Kloster Erlen loop (800 m) is lit in the evenings from 18:00 to 21:00, and the Hertz loop (2.2 km) is perfect for a daytime glide. Grab your skis and enjoy some fresh tracks right in the village!

From Inside The Lodge
Brasserie Konrad is back this Thursday! We’re swinging open the doors to our cosy little restaurant, and the kitchen has been busy cooking up some fun new dishes. We’re keeping the menu a surprise for now, so you’ll have to come and see (and taste) for yourself what our talented chefs have been up to. Trust us, it’s worth booking a table!
