This week we got huge amounts of snow here in Engelberg, both in the village and up on the mountain. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday it just kept coming, and by Wednesday the lifts stayed closed because of the sheer volume of snow. But those who earned their turns got lucky, check out Oliver Carlin and Anton Thorin magically getting transported to Japan here!

As we expected, Thursday was the day. And Hedvig Wessel, Elisabeth Gerritzen and Jenna Keller made the most of it. These three power women stayed with us for a few days this week – and they scored.
It’s still early season though, and the avalanche danger was sitting high at Considerable (3=) on Thursday, so always bring your beacon, shovel and probe, and know how to use them. Moving with a crew you trust and keeping things sensible is key right now. Take care out there and keep it fun!
Looking ahead, we’re in for milder temperatures and a bit of sunshine, with the chance of a little fresh snow higher up on Friday. Perfect time to get some piste runs in to get those legs warmed up and ready for the next powder day! With this solid early base and the cold holding strong, Jochpass, the slopes in Gerschnialp, and the valley descent should all be good to open up on Saturday, December 6th.
Wohoo! No more downloading from Trübsee, and we all know it, sometimes the homerun with a good crew ends up being the best run of the day!
