Winter Reloading With New Snow Ahead
2026… Jesus, time really does fly when you’re having fun, right?! This week’s Snow Report takes you through what went down in Engelberg over the past few days and what’s in store as we slide into the new year, so hold on tight! We wrapped up last week skiing slush on Brunni, proving once again how quickly conditions can flip in a mountain town. The snowfall we were hoping would blanket us in 30 cm of fresh turned into a solid 16 cm in the village by Saturday morning. As expected, snowfall forecasts are never something you can fully trust (even though we really want to).

That said, the new snow was a very welcome reload for the mountain… and for every skier’s snow-hunting brain. Even though the base under the fluff was still pretty icy (dust on crust), fresh snow and clean lines have a way of doing something to you. And good news for the carvers out there: those previously quite icy pistes also benefited nicely from the new layer!
Upcoming Snowfall and Cooler Temps

Looking ahead, the upcoming week is expected to bring more snowfall and colder temperatures. Time to add an extra layer, pack your backpack properly – spare gloves, snacks, insulation, and of course your avy gear. As always, ski with people you trust, take care of each other, and most importantly… have fun out there! Book a stay with us now and have a piece o f the powder cake:)
