Snow Report Engelberg – 7th of December

Snowboarder Elin on titlis

7.12.2025

Reported: November 1st – 7th

The week kicked off with cold temps and sunny days, the kind that make it impossible not to sneak in a few hours up on the mountain. With the holidays getting closer, the house has been buzzing, happy skiers filling up the bar, long dinners in our restaurant, and that real winter-in-Engelberg feeling settling in. Keep reading for the latest from the Ski Lodge Engelberg Snow Report.

Conditions have been treating us well after last week’s dump, leaving Laubersgrat as a full-on playground of side hits and playful pockets, perfect for dusting off a few tricks. The inversions have kept rolling too, with clouds hanging low in the valley and sunshine greeting everyone up high. Heading into the weekend, we picked up a few centimeters of creamy new snow before the temperatures turned milder on Saturday evening, bringing some rain higher than we would’ve wished for – up to around 1800 m.a.s.l.

Titlis is almost fully open after the weekend, with Jochpass, the valley descent, and Gerschnialp slopes all up and running, leaving only Engstlenalp and Jochstock still on the wishlist for Christmas. On the sunnier side of the valley, Brunni. We’re just waiting for the Schonegg lift to fire up, and with sunny days on the horizon, Brunni could be the perfect spot to soak up the views and enjoy a bit of vitamin D!

Knitting Cirkel at Ski Lodge Engelberg

For the evening activities, we have our very own Greta and Caroline to thank – yes, we’re talking about the Knitting Circle, DIY or DYE as the slogan goes. It’s the perfect time to finally finish that half-done beanie you started a year ago, or kick off that latest project you’ve been meaning to start. Over a glass of glögg, the conversations were flowing and a real sense of community was created. Who can say no to some crafting while chit-chatting about skiing?
