Snow Report Engelberg – February 17th

Since the last Snow Report Engelberg, in this one from February 17th, Titlis received over 40cm of fresh snow, though it felt even deeper once you were on the mountain. The excitement was high, and the stoke on the slopes was real. We’re loving all the content coming from you—keep tagging us in your powder shots. Check out Ski Lodge guests Benjamin and Bernt Marius tearing it up on Titlis Mountain after the fresh snowfall on Saturday, February 15th.

Brunni, as always, proved to be an excellent choice on a powder day, offering low avalanche danger, great visibility among the trees, and solid conditions. Plus, the much-anticipated top-to-bottom run down Grünenwald was finally skiable this weekend—something the locals had been waiting for! Check out these photos from Ski Lodge-guest Lovisa Rosengren. Photos taken Friday February 14th.

Looking Ahead

While there’s no major snowfall in the forecast, bluebird days are ahead. Here’s what OpenSnow is reporting:

“There’s not much to talk about today as the latest storm has moved south of the Alps, bringing some snow to the Apennines in Italy. A ridge will quickly develop over central Europe and take hold for much of the next week to ten days.”

That means it’s time to search for hidden powder pockets while they last, and then maybe consider grabbing your touring skis and heading into the backcountry.
