The past week has delivered incredible skiing in Engelberg, with fresh snowfall on both Thursday and Friday setting up perfect conditions on Titlis. The entire area was in top form, and all of Engelberg’s Big 5 were skiable. Even Galtiberg was at its best, offering deep snow and an great descents. If you decide to take on Galtiberg, be prepared for a bit of a hike out, and don’t forget to check the bus schedule from Führenalp to avoid a long wait.

Looking ahead, we are in for another dry spell. According to OpenSnow: “There’s not a whole lot going on across Europe at the moment, with a ridge of high pressure dominating the region. This will keep storms out of the Alps and Pyrenees through the end of the week, until it finally starts to weaken and move off to the east next weekend. Once this occurs, we should see a storm approach from the west that could bring significant snow to the western Alps and Pyrenees”. Until then, those looking for fresh tracks should consider ski touring. With stable conditions and sunny days ahead, now is the time to explore. If you have access to a car, we highly recommend a short 20-minute drive to Bannalp, where you will find fantastic routes and breathtaking scenery.
