New snow on the radar after a dry-ish period in the alps. Last week we had a surprise powder day on Thursday with 20-30cm of new snow waiting for us on the Darkside (Titlis). This week looks more promising with an expected snowfall on Friday!
Right now we are in the lead with 240 cm and just after the top baselayer resorts in Austria and Italy(250cm). This will change on Friday when a new storm is hitting our mountains, perfect after a sunny week if you ask us!
This week we are happy to welcome friends Linn and Fanny from Hobnob Journal who are in town to shoot their new winter edition of the magazine. Their mission for this week is to fill in the gap between the stereotypes who would go skiing – the devoted outdoor persona, the ski bum, the mountaineers and the “without 2 weeks of skiing per year I can’t live with myself”. The in-between type of skier underrepresented is all the ones that love the mountains and skiing but explore more than just the groomers or powder in a ski village. The holistic view? We will soon find out!
Stay in touch with them over their Instagram and check out their online magazine here.
