We are keeping busy in the Alps. The snow is here and we no longer have to fear shark attacks and can just enjoy the show.
Things are really getting into season mode. The hotel is getting full, the restaurant is busy and the bar is hosting unforgettable après-skis! We try to get as many face shots as possible up on the mountain and have been blessed with a mindblowing dump.
The snow came between the 14th and the 17th of January with 70-100 cm of fresh snow. Some bowls had even more and it got pretty hard to get out of them. The days were long and we enjoyed untracked slopes on the 18th and 19th – then the ski touring season kicked off. You will find a lot of good untracked fields if you just walk up for 30 min. A guide is optional, but always recommended from our side.
Tobias Granath, Jan Keller or Thomas Odermatt really know their stuff and find the best spots every time.
The cross-country tracks are in perfect condition and will give you a proper muscle workout, if you have any energy left after a day on the mountain. You can rent all the gear at the Stöckli ski shop next to the valley station or in the village at Quattro sport. If you are a Ski Lodge guest you even get a discount!
Upcoming dates to note:
Wednesday, February 15th, February 22nd and March 1st we have an avalanche safety class in our library with Jan Keller (guide).
Friday 24th and Saturday 25th we have a guest chef in the house! Christian Hellberg is going to leave his mark on the Brasserie Konrad menu and the bar food will get a makeover too. Don’t miss it!
