After a couple of Covid-19 curveballs thrown our way in terms of different restrictions, we are finally able to open up our garden, terrace, and bar again. From Wednesday the 13th of May we are open Wednesday to Sunday 3-9 pm.
This summer will be, as for many others in our business, a very difficult one. We looked forward to a bustling hotel, bar, and village for the summer of 2020 but have been constrained to come up with a whole new plan. The loss of our group bookings and the overall decline in tourists coming to Engelberg has forced us to lay off staff, put staff on hold, and make the best out of what we have.
At this point, we will try our best to keep locals, friends, and family well hydrated during May. New drinks, yummy wine, and beers will be our main priority. It is in one way a sort of artificial breathing for the village until we get tourism and traveling up and running in Europe again.
Our plan is to beat the big drums in June and have a delicious bar menu, food events, and a bar in full swing for the rest of the summer months.
