Powder Snow Report from Engelberg 10th of January 2024

powder skiing in engelberg, skier sanne mona.

From January’s onset till now, Titlis and Brunni have showcased the best part of what being a skier can be like in winter conditions, drawing powderhounds out of their beds early in the morning and not letting them go until late afternoon.

A standout this last week has been the recent snowfall. From Saturday through Sunday, continuous snowfall with an impressive 50 cm of fresh snow, elevated the conditions to a best in show. This new layer of snow brought extra energy to us all and we didn’t stop until we had enough (so yes, we were dragged off the mountain, chased by ski patrol. Sorry not sorry).

And again Brunni came alive and we had almost forgotten the charm of it since the last two years haven’t been very Sunny Side friendly seasons (even with its family-friendly atmosphere). Despite its lower elevation compared to Dark side Titlis Brunni Let us know it’s not to be trifled with. It’s not as steep as Titlis which led us to ski fast and unbothered during the full Sunday 7th and Monday morning.

Then Monday afternoon arrived. And if we thought Sunday was the day for powder church, we were mistaken. We started the day on Brunni due to low clouds and then headed over to Titlis when the clouds started to divert. Came over and realized that the cooler temperatures on Titlis made the term champagne powder not even applicable to what we were about to ski. For a lack of a word, it was the absolute opposite of shitfuck conditions (if you don’t know what shitfuck conditions are that is here is a link). Since we knew you wouldn’t believe us – here’s proof in pictures.

Now we’ve been babbling about and we know you need facts so: For the most recent updates on snow conditions in Engelberg and to maximize your winter adventure, check out these links below.
