New week, new snow and new restrictions! This time for the better. Switzerland is opening up and reducing regulations as of the 19th of April. New, for now, is that Restaurants and Bars are allowed to open up their Outside seating areas and events are once again permitted (with regulations).

Covid-19 in Engelberg – QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Are Hotels open in Engelberg?

Ski Lodge Engelberg is closed for the season from the 18th of April until the 1st of June.

Hotels are open for hotel guests and are allowed to have external guests in their outside seating areas.

Is the ski area open?

Yes, you can ski in Engelberg until the 24th of May 2021. The lifts Engelberg-Stand- Titlis Glacier is open daily. As is the glacier lifts on the top.

Jochpass is closed for the season. (You can still go ski touring there!)

What are the rules for Bars and Restaurants in Engelberg?

Bars and Restaurants are allowed to have the outside terraces open for all guests from the 19th of April 2021.

SNOW REPORT Engelberg

It’s been good here in Engelberg for the last week and there is more snow on the radar. Ski touring is on in Jochpass and up at Wendelucke.

Since Jochpass is closed for the season we go ski touring there, or go directly to Steinberg or the glacier pistes. It has been all time with cold snow in the depth of 30-50cm. Both after the snowfall last Thursday and with the one on Monday last.

Snow condition: Powder, partly sun affected on south-facing slopes!
