We’re getting closer and closer to the end of the season, and you can really feel it. Birds are chirping, flowers are starting to show in the fields around our lodge, and after hike and after bike have become just as normal as after ski. And we love it! Read the full report to hear about the conditions during the week and what’s coming ahead!
Yet another sunny week in Engelberg with slushy spring conditions and good times all around! The wind has been a bit cooler, giving us firm and nice piste conditions in the mornings while waiting for the off-piste to soften up later in the day. Out there, we’ve got a strong crew of builders, especially around the Laubersgrat lift where a bunch of big, fun jumps have been shaped, perfect for some party laps with friends!
Just a friendly reminder though: if you’re jumping, help out and shape as you go. In these slushy spring conditions, a bomb hole can stick around for a long time!
DJ Koco aka Shimokita – What a night!!
This Monday we had the pleasure of welcoming the one and only DJ Koco aka Shimokita to Ski Lodge Engelberg. Straight from Japan, DJ Koco is known worldwide for his incredible vinyl-only sets, flawless turntable skills, and his deep love for hip hop and rare grooves. Watching him work the decks is honestly something special, pure craftsmanship and pure feeling! Check it out here!
For the night, we turned our Bar into a proper vinyl Boiler Room-style setup, and DJ Koco delivered from start to finish. The energy was high and the dance floor stayed busy all night long. We’re so happy to see so many of you coming by, sharing the love for music, good sound, and especially vinyl culture with us. Nights like this are exactly what we love doing here at our Lodge.
And a big thank you to DJ Koco for stopping by, hopefully this is not the last time we see you in our mountains!
