It’s been a rather unpredictable week here in Engelberg, with the weather putting on its usual show of sun, clouds, and the occasional downpour 🙂
Powder in April
Thursday, the 24th, we got delivered a solid 40cm of fresh powder, as if the mountains had exhaled their last offering, all while the sun and clouds played their usual game of hide-and-seek, having us 1 meter from each other for the first 100 meters of Steinberg.

By Friday, however, the rain came pouring in, leaving us wondering if the season had perhaps lost its way. But, in a timely act of contrition, Saturday greeted us with blue skies and perfectly soft powder for the soul. A great success in our eyes.

For those who like to mix things up, the pistes of Mt. Titlis remain open until next weekend. Whether you’re keen on the peaceful pursuit of ski touring up Jochpass or prefer the faster-paced fun of piste skiing down to Trubsee Restaurant, there’s plenty of mountain to explore. A day that begins with a peaceful hike and ends with a nice slushy afternoon on the skis—what more could you ask for?

Summer in Engelberg
On a different note, the Summer Running Club is still going strong every Monday at 17:45. Meet at the Mountain Studio on Dorfstrasse for a leisurely run and good company. Just bring a water bottle and your best attitude.
Looking ahead, the saying around here is that April has a knack for surprising us, and the forecast is definitely supporting that theory. The snow is still holding up nicely at the higher elevations, so keep those powder skis and boards handy—you never know when the mountains might throw another surprise your way (and we would love to see you at apres).
