Snow Report Engelberg – 29th of March – April Fools? Nope, Just More Powder in Engelberg!

29.03.2026

Reported: 23rd – 29th of March

What a week!! Just as we mentioned in last week’s snow report, the storm that rolled in on Wednesday brought our little village right back to pow-town status. The day actually started out feeling very spring-like, sunshine, warm temperatures, people out jogging in t-shirts and coffees enjoyed in the sun. Then, around midday, the clouds moved in. The sun disappeared, a short spell of rain passed through the village… and suddenly it turned to snow. And not just a little – a lot of snow. Safe to say, we were very happy about that.

Read the full report to see how the snowfall delivered, how many face shots the storm days treated us to, and why we’re already sending out another Powder Alert… because yes, it has started snowing again!

Wednesday morning ——————————–> Wednesday Evening… Mountain weather huh….?

So Much Powder, We Lost Count of the Face Shots

We were treated to a proper run of storm days, bringing up to a meter of fresh snow in places. Brunni turned out to be the place to be, this storm really reminded us of the one back in late November… remember that one? Huge amounts of snow, barely a base, and smiles all around. Honestly, we’ll never say no to that kind of problem. Read more about the storm here!

Then came Saturday, a classic bluebird powder day. Just the way we like it. Big smiles, high stoke, and plenty of untouched lines waiting after the storm cleared. What can we say… it was pure magic!

Prime Easter Conditions on the Horizon!

If Easter in the mountains wasn’t on your radar yet, now might be the time to book. It’s looking very promising. A second storm is currently rolling in, bringing a solid 48 hours of snowfall from Monday, a low snowline, and up to 80 cm+ possible. Not an April Fool’s joke… just a happy coincidence.

After a few snowy days, the Easter weekend is shaping up to bring sunshine and blue skies. With the solid base we have now, it’s lining up to be a pretty great start to April for skiing in Engelberg.

And if you take a look at the second image below, you’ll see that Engelberg is currently ranked among the top 5 resorts expected to receive the most snow according to the latest forecasts, not a bad place to be right now!
