Reported: 2nd – 8th February
After last week’s powder jackpot, we kicked off this week on the hunt for untouched snow. And just like Engelberg is famous for, there’s no shortage of beautiful terrain that’s easily reached straight from the lifts, or with a short ski tour. In this week’s snow report, we’re sharing where to head once the most common routes are already tracked out.
Wendelücke
Wendelücke is a great option for freeriders who don’t mind earning their turns. The ascent is short and relatively mellow, making it an easy effort for a big reward. You’ll find the start of the tour looker’s left from the top of the Jochstock lift. From there, it’s a 250-meter climb that opens up into a 950-meter descent, a trade-off we’re always happy to make. Count on around one hour for the full mission.
These photos were taken on Monday, February 2nd, when Elin and Ida enjoyed some fresh turns in Wendelücke!

Galtiberg
Galtiberg is one of those iconic off-piste runs that tends to stay untracked long after a snowfall. Starting from the top of the Titlis Rotair, the line drops more than 2,000 vertical meters all the way toward the valley floor, making it one of the longest and most demanding descents in the area. This is terrain for advanced skiers only. Steep sections, exposure, and avalanche risk mean solid decision-making is key, but when it all lines up, Galtiberg delivers an unforgettable adventure. When the snow base is good and fresh snow reaches the valley, it’s possible to ski all the way down to the Fürenalp valley station. At other times, a hike out through the forest is part of the deal.
These photos are from Monday, February 2nd, when Filip and Elin wrapped up their day with exactly that hike. Verdict? Still 100% worth it!

The Forecast is promising snow!
Looking ahead, we’re expecting a week of storm riding, with a very promising Friday on the horizon. Because who doesn’t love fresh snow and sunshine? This weather system does look a bit windy at times, so make sure to check the avalanche bulletin, weather conditions, and lift status before heading out.
The freezing level is expected to fluctuate between just below the village (around 1,000 m.a.s.l.) and up to 2,000 m.a.s.l. Snowfall in the village is unlikely, but during the colder nights it’s not completely off the table.
Wether forecast for Titlis 8th – 14th of February
