We’re getting our Christmas wishes fulfilled with a new powder alert. A massive storm is rolling into the Alps, and Engelberg is right in the sweet spot. Over the next six days, Klein Titlis could see up to 161 cm of snow—over a meter and a half of fresh powder coming our way. It’s looking like one of those weeks where the turns will be deep, the smiles big, and the stoke levels through the roof. Holiday spirits are high.

With such a big powder alert, safety is important. Avalanche risk is likely to be high, so don’t skip checking the avalanche danger before you head out. If you’re planning to go off-piste, make sure you’ve got your beacon, shovel, and probe with you—and know how to use them. Ski with people you trust, communicate clearly, and make decisions with your head, not just your heart (or your FOMO).
This storm has the potential to bring some unforgettable days, but it’s up to us to keep it safe out there. Stick to the terrain that suits the conditions, and don’t forget to stop and soak in the magic of a mountain covered in fresh snow. It’s going to be a good one, so if you haven’t planned a trip to Engelberg this Christmas, now is the time.
