A SPF 50 weekend in our backs and a fluffy weekend ahead.
Last weekend we had a full house and it was sunny from Friday morning through Tuesday. It was a fairly cold weekend, much colder than we are used to, which it kept the snow in good condition despite the strong sun – lucky us! The snowfall on the 29th of November kept on delivering fine lines until late evening Monday, and some touring missions could be done to ski untouched fields still. On the slopes, most easily accessed off-piste areas were skied out on Sunday, so if you were fast from Friday to Saturday you had a lot of fun runs. With some booting and hiking, you could still explore some of the easily accessed fields from the lift. Some of the locals had a good time doing just that – and our hotel guests as well.
The weather forecast for this weekend is promising 1 m of snow. With a bit of luck the sun is going to come out during the weekend already, or else the beginning of next week will be magical. Go have a look at our weekly packages and get down here! Psst. You always find the best rates on our webpage or if you email us your inquiry.

Danger description
Snowdrift: The sometimes storm force wind will transport the fresh snow and in some cases old snow as well. The fresh and somewhat older snow drift accumulations are prone to triggering. Single winter sport participants can release avalanches. They can in some cases penetrate deep layers and reach medium size. Backcountry touring and snowshoe hiking call for experience in the assessment of avalanche danger.
Mostly small full-depth avalanches are possible on steep grassy slopes. This applies in particular on steep east, south and west facing slopes below approximately 2400 m as well as on north facing slopes below approximately 2000 m. Areas with glide cracks are to be avoided as far as possible.
